Horizon Leisure provides a welcoming, safe place, a space to be accepted and become the best version of yourself.

No, you will not be restricted in the number of classes or sessions you book. However, it is more vital than ever before that you inform us if you cannot attend a booked session/class (no less than two hours before the session is due to start). This will allow other members to participate if they are on a waiting list.

You will notice there are numbers against each type of activity. The number on the left tells you how many spaces are left, and the number on the right is the capacity.

Example 14/28 Body combat – There are 14 spaces left.

Customers who do not inform us they cannot attend will receive a strike on their membership account.

Many of our activities and classes can be adapted where possible. Our instructors can offer guidance and alternative movements to help you take part comfortably.

Yes. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the centre. If you have any specific requirements during your visit, please speak to a member of our team.

No, spectators are only allowed poolside due to medical needs of the attending member. This must be discussed with the Swim School before lessons.

At Guildford, spectators are allowed poolside.

Yes. The centre includes accessible toilet and changing facilities designed to provide additional space and support for visitors who require them.

Yes, as long as we are within staff ratios and it is safe to do so. We will contact you if we are unable to deliver this service.

The crèche takes children up to the age of 5 years old.

Yes. Carers and personal assistants are welcome to accompany visitors who require support while using the facilities.

Yes, you can book gym sessions, classes and swimming through the Horizon app or online.

We ask that personal pushchairs are not brought into the crèche due to dirty wheels from outside and limited space. We do have pushchairs available on site that we can use. You are welcome to leave your pushchair outside the crèche door if it cannot be left in your car while visiting.

Snacks including breadsticks, rice cakes, yoghurt, fruit, and vegetables are allowed to be consumed within the crèche, and these must be provided by parents.

No, you must remain on site at all times while your child is in the crèche.

Yes, you can book a free tour of the centre to see the facilities and speak with our team.

Yes. If you would like to visit the centre before joining to check facilities or discuss accessibility needs, our team will be happy to arrange this with you.

You can book more than one child but you have to call reception rather booking on the app. Call Waterlooville on 02392 245 900, or call Havant on 02392 476 026.

Yes, we will keep an eye on the booking system and call you if we can offer the extra time you have requested.

Yes, we can provide water, and we have cups and beakers available.

Yes. You will need to be referred by a GP or another healthcare professional to join the scheme.

No. The programme is designed for all abilities, including people who are brand new to exercise or returning after time away.

Yes, group exercise classes should be booked in advance using the Horizon app.

If your child is enrolled in our Pre-School programme, an appropriate adult must be in the water with them.

If your child is in our Learn to Swim programme (Stage 1 and above), parents do not need to enter the water.

It is always advisable to book any sessions in the leisure centre to guarantee your space.  However, you can turn up, but you will not be guaranteed a space in the facility you wish to attend.

Members can pre-book seven days in advance and non-members two days in advance.

There is no need to pre-book our public or lane sessions; however we advise to pre-book our family float sessions to avoid any disappointment on the day.

Yes, all lessons run during bank holidays.

Yes, all lessons run as usual during school holidays.

You can purchase a swim nappy from reception. If a normal nappy is needed, we may be able to provide one (subject to stock) and parents can replace it the next time they use the crèche service.

We do; they are locked via padlock, You can bring your own, or you can buy one for £4.20 at Havant and Waterlooville and £6.00 at Guildford.

Yes, Horizon offers discounted memberships for students and Blue Light card holders.

You can join waiting lists via your home-portal account.

If you need support logging in, please visit reception or contact the Swim School team.

Go to the Activities tab, click Crèche, select the correct site, choose the time you require, then press Book and confirm your booking.

All awards can be purchased at our reception desks.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to swim.school@horizonlc.com

Please speak to our reception team or contact the Swim School team, who will help you change your lesson time or day if availability allows.

You can join online through our website or speak to a member of the team at reception who will help you choose the right membership.

Once a swimmer is ready to progress to the next class, you will receive a notification via your home-portal profile.

The teacher will also let the swimmer know during their lesson.

You can manage your membership through your online account or speak to our team at reception for support.

To book via the website, click on the ‘Book online’ tab at the top of each web page. (Toning studio is also bookable via this tab).

To book via the Horizon app, there are prominent booking tabs.

Members can pre-book seven days in advance and non-members two days in advance.

Both members and pay-as-you-go users will need a membership ID and PIN to access the booking systems.

Members can obtain these details by emailing info@horizonlc.com.

Please note that your membership ID differs from the number on your membership card.

Any non-members that wish to use our services on a pay-as-you-go basis can register on the tab at the top of each web page or call reception so we may register you and provide you with your login details so you book and pay online.

All bookings can be made via the online joining page on our website.

If you have an Apple device you can download from the App Store. If you have an Android device you can get our App from the Google Play Store. The links are in our website footer.

Within both stores search for ‘Horizon Leisure Centres’ and download (our app is free to download).

To register for our new Online Services:

Go to https://horizonlc.legendonlineservices.co.uk/enterprise/account/login

Click on the “Register button”

Enter your email address, create your password and accept the T&Cs.

You will then receive a “Verify your registration” email. Click on the link in the email.

You will then be taken back to the online services and asked to re-enter the password that you just created.

On the next page, the final step is to confirm your details against your member record in the system. To do this you will need to enter your membership number and one of the following:

  • Postcode
  • Date of birth
  • Phone number

You will then be shown a screen showing your successful registration.

Once the registration is complete, you will then need to log in with your email and password you have just created.

You can track the attending member’s progress via your home-portal account.

If you need help accessing your account, please contact reception or the Swim School team.

Let us know the time you would like your child brought up and we will collect them and bring them to the pool for you. We can also collect your child after you finish swimming and help get them dressed.

Scan the QR code on-site when you arrive to claim 2 hours of free parking on the day of your first lesson.

We can collect your child from the pool at your preferred time, bring them into the créche and get them dried and dressed. We can also change your child into their swim stuff in the creche and pass them into the pool to you as the parent, or we can offer to drop off the child and then pick back up service. We ask parents to ensure they are booking this correctly on the creche bookings to allow ratio numbers to be followed in the créche.

Swimming lessons are 30 minutes in duration.

The course takes 5-6 days depending on start date

Class sizes vary between 6–12 swimmers per class, depending on the class stage and available pool space.

Lessons run for 50 weeks of the year, with a two-week break over the Christmas period.

Our swimmers can start from 3 months old.

Yes. Horizon Waterlooville provides step-free access to key areas of the centre, including reception, the gym and changing facilities. Accessible routes are available throughout the building where possible.

Yes, parking is available for members and visitors at the centre.

Yes. Your first swimming lesson is completely free, with no obligation to continue. It’s simply a chance to try Horizon Swim School and see if it’s right for you.

Yes. The gym includes a range of equipment suitable for different abilities, and our instructors can help adapt exercises or equipment to suit your needs.

Joining fees may apply depending on the membership offer available at the time. Our team can talk you through the current options.

Yes. Accessible parking spaces are available close to the entrance of Horizon Waterlooville to help make accessing the centre easier for visitors with mobility needs.

Yes. Our team are always happy to help. If you need assistance navigating the centre, accessing equipment or using facilities, please speak to a member of staff when you arrive.

Your plan will be tailored to you, but may include gym based exercise, strength and mobility work, low impact cardio, and other suitable activities at Horizon.

You can become a lifeguard from 16, you can do the course prior as long as the assesment day falls on your 16th birthday

Gym memberships are available for those aged 16 and over. Younger members may be able to attend with specific programmes or supervision.

Free first lesson available to new Swim School customers only. One free lesson per swimmer. Parking offer applies on the day of the free lesson only and is subject to centre-specific parking arrangements.

Use of Facilities Between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm all week.

 

You will need to bring:

  • Appropriate swimwear
  • A towel
  • A padlock for lockers
  • Goggles and swim hats are optional.

All swimming aids will be provided by us.

All children who are not potty trained must wear:

  • A swim nappy
  • A neoprene nappy
  • Appropriate swimwear

Failure to do so will result in the swimmer being unable to enter the pool.

Your first swimming lesson is free. At participating centres, this also includes up to 2 hours of free parking on the day of your lesson, activated via the on-site QR code.

Membership includes access to the gym, group exercise classes and swimming sessions depending on your membership type.

Once we receive your referral, a member of the Horizon team will contact you to arrange your first appointment and explain what happens next.

At the end of the programme, you may have the opportunity to continue with a discounted membership so you can keep building on your progress.

If a lesson is cancelled by us for any reason, you will receive email and text communication.

You will be eligible for a refund for that session. Please speak to reception within one calendar month.

If an attending member is unable to attend a lesson, no refund will be issued.

In cases of prolonged absence due to medical reasons, please contact swim.school@horizonlc.com to request a medical freeze. Please note that medical freezes cannot be applied retrospectively.

The same fee applies to all families of five or more.

Every membership is charged an admin fee, including junior memberships. It is non-negotiable. One admin fee is to be charged per membership, i.e., a dual membership will only be charged one fee—no fee to be charged to any current gymnastic/trampolining customers.

14 years and over with proof of studies.

15 years and under.

The minimum booking time is 30 minutes, with a maximum stay of two hours.

If you cannot attend a pre-booked class or swim session, we ask that you cancel your booking using the Horizon mobile app or by calling us.

It is essential to give us at least two hours’ notice to allow other customers to book and to avoid receiving a strike on your account.

Customers who fail to attend a booked session or cancel within two hours of the session start time will receive a strike on their account. The first and second strikes will remain in place for six weeks. If you accumulate three strikes, you cannot pre-book for seven days.

It is essential to Horizon that our staff and customers are kept safe. To this end, we will undertake the following measures for our team.

A complete health and safety audit is undertaken of each of our staff members’ workspace to ensure that within the workplace, they are working safely and have access to cleaning materials to keep their workspace safe.

If a staff member has any signs of covid, they are expected to take a PCR test and stay home until they have had two negative test results before returning to work.

We would expect customers with symptoms to stay away from Horizon until they are safe to avoid endangering any other customers using the centres.

We have sanitisers for customers to use so they can wipe down any equipment they want. If these are not visible, please ask a member of staff.

All equipment is wiped down with sanitiser regularly throughout the day.

You will need to hold the most up to date NPLQ Gen 10

You will be supported by an Exercise Referral Instructor who will help you feel confident, stay on track, and adjust your plan as you progress.

Depending on which site you are swimming at, lessons can be viewed from the café or spectating gallery.

Please note that learner pool lessons cannot be viewed from these areas.

All sites have main free car parks a short distance from the main entrance.

Swim School members are included in free parking at Havant.

Lessons take place at HavantWaterlooville and Guildford Horizon centres. You can select your preferred location when booking your first swimming lesson.

Current swim card members can renew, we will not be selling them to new members, the only option is gym, swim and classes etc.

Must be five or more per company, wage slip to prove where they work, they must be an employee of the company only, no spouses.

If you are a member at any of our centres, you can refer friends or family who are new to Horizon Leisure and not currently members.

You can speak to our reception team or give them a call.
